My Opinion

WOW! I always say that I’m not a big fan of science fiction movies, except a few, and this one of the few. How can I describe how unique and different it is? It’s difficult to explain, but I can give you some comparisons: it’s like The Matrix was for science fiction movies when it first came out, or the iPhone for mobile phones. This movie will take you to another world that you never imagined before. How could the movie and technology industries have evolved to create such a movie? The story was very interesting, the make-up was fabulous, the graphic design was unbelievable, and the directing was amazing. I said so many WOWS while watching the movie in the cinema. I loved it!

As usual, my man Denzel Washington delivers another great movie. What a performance, an amazing, real performance from this great actor. It was unbelievable when he said, “I’m not going to bury my son. My son is going to bury me.” His facial expression was amazing during that moment.
This movie is a must watch, and the story is very touching and has a powerful message. So far it’s the only movie Denzel Washington has done with the director Nick Cassavetes, but they both did it right.

An inspiring story of survival with very difficult scenes to shoot and very difficult environment to perform in, but most of the actors did an amazing job. This was a different kind of role for Liam Neeson compared with his usual movies. He acted brilliantly and showed the character better than real life. When you see the ice on the actors’ faces, you can feel the freeze from your seat. The sound mixing was fabulous, and the wolf scenes were perfectly done. It’s a must watch movie, and you will learn a lot from it.

Elizabeth Banks’s acting performance was so fake, especially compared to her performance in The Next Three Days (2010).
Many scenes are not connected, especially the diamond-related scenes.

For sure it’s not one of the best movies from my man Denzel Washington, but it’s a good movie. The action mixed with amazing cinematography was nice, and the director did really a good job with the action scenes. The script and story were a bit weak – the movie needed a stronger writer – and unfortunately the story was missing so many details. The performance from Denzel Washington, especially in the last scene, was amazing, and Ryan Reynolds’s acting performance was surprisingly excellent and showed off his talent.
